
Terry Daniels on deck for “The Tryout”

Sports Management Worldwide may have a reality TV star in the making.
SMWW client and center fielder Terry Daniels said Monday, October 10 he was invited to participate In the first round of tryouts for a reality show called, “The Tryout.”
The first round is set for 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, October 15 in the New York area, according to a release.
The 6-episode series, produced by Spanglish and Tryout Inc., revolves around finding the next best baseball talent to give those selected an opportunity for exposure and to equip them with resources to excel in their path to the major leagues.
Gracie Cashman, daughter of New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman, is the series’ host.
Players at Saturday’s first round will participate before a panel of judges which includes Major League Baseball scouts and former players.
Players selected from the first round will be notified to try out for the finals in November.
Daniels, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound native of Auburn, New York, garnered the 2021 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year and an NAIA Second Team All-America honor following a standout senior season for Olivet Nazarene University In Bourbonnais, Illinois.
He played professionally last year for the Garden City (Kansas) Wind of the Pecos League and the Joliet (Illinois) Slammers of the Frontier League.
He didn’t play this season and instead recovered from injuries sustained in 2021.
Daniels is serving as a volunteer assistant coach this fall for Olivet Nazarene and completing work for his bachelor’s degree in fitness and recreational sports.
