Agent Success Stories
SMWW's global network of Agent Advisors continues to grow and change the way in which professional athletes get their representation. And many of them were once just like you: eager, enthusiastic sports junkies dreaming of representing the world's best athletes. Now they are doing it for a living!
SMWW Agent Advisor Al Thomas has signed Harry Dunn, a 6-7, 340 lb. offensive tackle out of James Madison University, and has signed him to a contract with the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Like many SMWW Agent Advisors, Thomas, who has been with us for just a short period of time, is enjoying the fruits of being an agent and watching his client play at the next the level.
"SMWW has been a blessing to me. I came on board as an agent advisor six months ago and it's one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Thanks to all the help and advice that I receive from our staff, I see nothing but great success. Matt Brock (SMWW's Director of Football) is a wealth of knowledge and has great patience with new agents getting into the business."
Additionally, Agent Advisor Alex Yam represents Geoff Husted, a 6-11 center for the CBA's Dakota Wizards, who has just been named to the league's All- Rookie team.
"Representing Geoff has been so great for me because I have learned so much and developed a lot of good contacts. I owe a lot to Bill Kent (SMWW's Director of Operations and an NBA Certified Agent). He helped me sign Geoff and worked several overseas deals for him before we eventually had him sign with a CBA team. There are a lot of great people helping new agent advisors and I call Bill all the time to ask for his advice and utilize his contacts in the business."
Imagine how exhillarating it is as a new agent to sign, represent and watch your very own client achieve so much success in his first season in a quality league! The great thing about becoming an Agent Advisor with SMWW is that it doesn't take very long to see success. You need just one client to become an agent.
Our Agents are representing clients in many different sports and some are even working with clients outside of the sports world. Take Lazo Gjurich as an example. He is currently working with a sports artist named Jacob Eisenhour who is currently working on a montage piece of the Pittsburgh Steelers to commemorate the Super Bowl Championship team. He has also done a piece for Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers and that piece is currently on sale at the Wachovia Center.

"Jacob and I have been working hard to get his work into the hands of the right people and get his name out there so that he can begin to choose his work rather than the work choosing him. He is always looking for new projects and likes to work with people that have an idea but are willing to let him use his art insight to make a truly unique and one of a kind piece of art, said Gjurich."I am really excited about working with him in the future to help him continue to secure deals with athletes and teams."

"Many times there is a snowballing effect," says SMWW President Dr. Lynn Lashbrook, who is also an NFL agent. "This is a referral business. I tell kids that if you get that first client signed, more are sure to come. It's really all about relationships. I got Brian Dawkins as a client because I represented his brother Ralph."
"Not only are we offering to train and educate future sports agents," says Dr. Lashbrook. "We are also offering them contacts and an agency to work in. There is not another company out there which offers aspiring agents so much for so little."
