Devin Pleuler, Toronto FC Manager of Analytics

Devin Pleuler is the Manager of Analytics at Toronto FC, a member of Major League Soccer, which he joined in January 2015. Before that, he was a Data Scientist for Opta Sports, a word-leading sports data provider. At Opta, he worked with various clients in world soccer providing bespoke pieces of analysis regarding on-field performance.

Before and while working at Opta, Devin created an independent blog named “Central Winger” that grew into a weekly featured column on MLSsoccer.com which was discontinued when he joined Toronto FC.

Devin holds a computer science degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston where he played as a goalkeeper for the team’s NCAA men’s soccer program. He also briefly served as an assistant coach at MIT in 2012 and holds several coaching licenses. Twitter: @devinpleuler
