Greg Glynn is the Founder & CEO of Pliable, a versatile marketing, public relations, and broadcasting company in Augusta, Maine. Pliable specializes in athlete branding. Glynn has more than 20 years of experience in the communications and sports industry.
Greg enjoys working side-by-side with high school, college, and professional athletes to help them build their athlete brands. He is the creator of Pliable's 10-Step Athlete Branding Playbook, recognized as one of the industry’s most forward-thinking ideas for athletes to acquire the skills and tools to build their athlete brand, including securing name, image, and likeness (NIL) opportunities. He has been recognized in a variety of ways during his career, including being nominated for Mainebiz's 2023 Business Leader of the Year and Innovator of the Year.
As an athlete branding expert, Greg provides presentations at high schools and colleges across the country about athlete branding. He is also the host of the Athlete Brand Advisor Podcast which features advice and interviews with athletes, coaches and influencers about athlete branding.
Greg is a registered sports agent in several states across the country. He has also received his Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through the Public Relations Society of America. Greg is one of only 5,000 professionals nationally accredited in the field of public relations. He has extensive media relations experience as a reporter, producer, and sports broadcaster, including his time as the play-by-play voice of the Portland Pirates in the American Hockey League.
During his broadcasting career, Greg has called more than 1,000 sporting events covering a wide range of high school, college, and professional athletes. With a wide range of knowledge and skills in marketing, public relations and broadcasting, Greg uses his experience to help high school, college, professional and retired athletes build their brand.
Greg represents more than 25 high school, college, and professional athletes who compete in a wide range of sports, including Caleb Manuel, who played in the 2022 U.S. Open, as well as Hannah Dukeman and Emma Eubank, the first two athletes in the country to design #CURECANCER cleats to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. Greg is a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism program at Quinnipiac University with a minor in marketing. In 2004, he was presented with the Outstanding Support in Broadcasting and Multimedia award by Quinnipiac Athletics.
