Vassili Cremanzidis brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and hands-on experience to his role as a mentor for Sports Management Worldwide’s Soccer Scouting Course. Currently serving as the Head Sporting Strategist for the San Jose Earthquakes, Vassili oversees recruiting, scouting, roster management, salary cap compliance, and team administration, while also managing the club's day-to-day operations and acting as the primary liaison with Major League Soccer (MLS).

In 2024, Vassili returned to the San Jose Earthquakes in this pivotal role, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to shape the team’s sporting strategy. His career trajectory demonstrates his ability to excel in diverse roles within professional soccer, making him an invaluable resource for aspiring soccer professionals.

Vassili’s professional journey began in 2013 with CF Montréal (formerly the Montreal Impact), where he served as the first team’s Performance Analyst, focusing on video analysis, statistical insights, and GPS metrics. He first joined the San Jose Earthquakes in 2016 as the Scouting and Performance Analyst and advanced to Head of Analysis and Associate Director of Player Personnel. After returning to his hometown of Montreal in 2019, he quickly grew into a key leadership role with CF Montréal before rejoining San Jose in 2024.

Academically, Vassili holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Management from Concordia University in Montreal (2011) and a Master of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. (2013). He is also a proud alumnus of Sports Management Worldwide, having completed the Hockey GM & Scouting Course in 2009 and the Sports Salary Capology Course in 2010. These experiences laid the foundation for his impressive career in sports management.
