Steve Fairchild is a true football thoroughbred and boasts 35 years of coaching experience at both the NFL and collegiate levels, including 19 seasons as an offensive coordinator. Prior to UV Fairchild was the senior offensive assistant for the San Diego Chargers after a four-year stint as the head coach at Colorado State, which included the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history and a victory in the 2008 New Mexico Bowl. At Colorado State, Fairchild also was the offensive coordinator (1997-2000) and quarterbacks coach (1993-96) during the Rams’ football rise. From 1993-2000 Colorado State won the Western Athletic Conference three times and the Mountain West Conference twice and was nationally ranked at various times during that span. During Fairchild’s four seasons as the offensive coordinator, three Colorado State players were honored as the league’s offensive player of the year and the Rams won three bowl games. In 1997, quarterback Moses Moreno was the WAC offensive player of the year and helped Colorado State finish No. 1 in the league in total and scoring offense.
Fairchild spent eight seasons in the NFL. He worked as the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills in 2006 and 2007, as quarterback J.P. Losman posted the 11th-best QB rating in the NFL in 2006 and passed for 3,051 yards. Prior to his stint with the Bills, Fairchild was the offensive coordinator for the St. Louis Rams from 2003-05. Teaming up again with Faulk, Fairchild and the Rams enjoyed three straight top-10 finishes in total offense, including the NFL’s second-ranked scoring offense in 2003.
He earned a bachelor of arts in economics from Colorado State and later a master of education from Azusa Pacific in 1983. Steve Fairchild is now the owner of Fairchild Quarterback Training Camp in Denver, Colorado.
Brian Pariani
Brian Pariani is a veteran coach of the NFL of more than 30 years and has won 4 Super Bowls during his time in the league. His first championship came in 1994 with the San Francisco 49ers and 3 more came with the Denver Broncos in 1997, 1998, and 2015. Brian specializes on the offensive side of the ball and spent most of his career as a Tight Ends coach. Starting out at UCLA, Brian worked as a Graduate Assistant in 1989 under Head Coach Terry Donahue. In 1990 Brian got his first shot at the NFL with the San Fransisco 49ers, workings as a Scouting Assistant before transitioning to an Offensive Coaching Assistant in 1991.
From 2006-2013, Brian was the Tight Ends coach for the Houston Texans, and during his tenure, the Texans produced more than 8,000 receiving yards, 682 catches, and 58 touchdown passes which were good for 4th and 5th most in the NFL respectively. Owen Daniels, a 4th-Round draft pick, was developed under Brian’s tutelage and was named to the NFL All-Rookie team as well as 2 Pro Bowl nods in 2008 and 2012.
Brian most recently coached with the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 and concluded his tenure in 2021. He is an avid student of the game and has coached 3 Pro Bowl Tight Ends and 1 Hall of Famer in his illustrious career.
Weekly Interactive Zoom Video Chats: A unique aspect of each 8-week course is the opportunity for students to participate in weekly, interactive zoom video chats with fellow students, Dr. Lashbrook, Steve Fairchild, and renowned guest speakers. This is a tremendous opportunity to network within the professional and collegiate sports industry by getting to know your instructors and fellow students personally via the Internet. This allows ample opportunity to network, ask questions, and discuss aspects of the course openly with instructors and fellow classmates. The interactive zoom video chats are available via any online computer with a microphone. If you are unable to attend the chats, they are archived and you can listen at a more convenient time. These chats are so popular that graduates continue to come back and participate to enhance their opportunities. Sport-specific chats are offered on an ongoing basis.
Online Education: This innovative academic course is facilitated through a Web-based educational delivery system.
